(ANSA) - LONDON, NOVEMBER 05 - The attack with a Molotov cocktail on a center for the collection and identification of migrants last Sunday in Dover, a port city in southern England and a landing point for landings fueled by human trafficking across the English Channel, was "a terrorist act".
This was announced by the British counter-terrorism in charge of the investigation.
"After looking at the evidence gathered so far, and while clear evidence indicates that (the suspect's) mental health is certainly a factor, I am convinced that the suspect's actions were primarily motivated by ideological extremism, which fits the definition of terrorist," said Tim. Jacques, senior British counter-terrorism officer, quoted in a press release.
