A day after singer Aaron Carter, 34, was found dead at his home in California, his brother Nick Carter, 41, paid tribute to him at a Backstreet Boys concert in London.

As the industry journal "Billboard" and the music magazine "NME" reported, the band dedicated a song to the ex-child star.

According to "NME", Nick Carter is said to have cried during a speech by Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson.

According to "Billboard", a large photo of the deceased was also shown.

Videos shared by both media outlets show Nick Carter crying.

Aaron Carter was found dead in his bathtub on Saturday.

With hits like "Crush On You" and "Aaron's Party", Nick Carter's younger brother became a star in the late 1990s.

He was still a child then.

Since then, comeback attempts have repeatedly failed.

Before the show in London, Nick Carter addressed the fans: "My heart is broken today.

Although my brother and I had a complicated relationship, my love for him never waned," he wrote on Instagram.

"I never gave up hope that somehow, someday, he would find the help he so desperately needed."

Aaron Carter has struggled with drug problems and mental illness for years.

In 2019 he said in an interview that he suffers from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia and acute anxiety.

He is also manic-depressive.

That same year, his twin sister, Angel, and brother, Nick Carter, obtained a restraining order against him.

Carter gave birth to a son last year and split from his fiancee Melanie Martin shortly after his birth.

In September, he announced he was going through a fifth rehab to regain custody of his son, which currently rests with his ex-partner's mother.

"Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss," Nick Carter wrote in his Instagram post.

But in this case, addiction and mental illness are the real enemy.

“I will miss my brother more than anyone could ever understand.

I love you, now you have the chance to find some peace that you never had on earth.«
