Ex-teen star Aaron Carter is dead. The singer was found at his home in Lancaster, California on Saturday.
A spokesman for Aaron's brother Nick Carter confirmed this to the New York Post.
First, the industry portal "TMZ" reported about it.
There was no information on the cause of death.
Carter, who gained notoriety in the late 1990s with hits like "Crush On You" and "Aaron's Party," is the brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter.
He released his first album in 1997 at the age of nine.
He never made a breakthrough like Brother Nick did.
More recently, Carter has struggled with drug problems and mental illness.
In 2019 he spoke extensively about his health problems on the US talk show “The Doctors”.
"The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia and acute anxiety," said the then 32-year-old.
He is also manic-depressive.
He wrote about his appearance: Telling the truth, making up for grievances and taking care of his loved ones is the most important thing for him.
Aaron Carter was 34 years old.
