Like cat and dog: In real life there is always evidence that they get along very well.
A video on Reddit of a chihuahua and a kitten playing is now wowing the internet.
It's a common misconception that cats and dogs hate each other.
For this reason there is even the saying "like cat and dog" when two people do not get along well.
But there are enough cases on the net that prove the opposite.
Dogs and cats can get along very well and even live together in one household.

A recent study in the specialist publication PLOS One confirms this. However, when a new pet is added, it is important to give the four-legged friends enough time to sniff each other out.
Jamie J. from the US state of Arizona has studiously kept to that.
She already has a dog, a seven-year-old Chihuahua named "Muffin."
She recently adopted a seven-week-old kitten and named him Pepper.
At first she is said to have tried to keep the two apart.

But the dog Muffin is said to have smelled the roast and was very curious.
From then on, everything "developed very quickly and now Muffin is Pepper's protector and friend," explains the American to the news portal

The two are already a heart and a soul and there are always funny and sweet situations that the owner likes to capture on camera.
Among other things, this resulted in a cute video that she posted on the Reddit social media platform.

This shows the Chihuahua and the kitten lying on the sofa and teasing each other for almost two minutes.
Dog Muffin seems to "snap" at the kitten again and again, but the kitten knows how to defend itself and defends itself against the "attacks".
This creates a funny little game in which neither of the two wants to leave the field to the other.
They bicker again and again, then let each other go until the other finally starts all over again.

Reddit users are excited, with one commenting, "It's like a human relationship, only it evolves 1,000 times faster."
Another added: "Man this gave me a huge grin just watching now.
I love the soft grunts and the gentle nibbling on the kitten." One last one even added, "Sorry, but you stopped the video at least an hour early." One thing's for sure, Muffin and Pepper already have a serious following rallied.
