(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, NOVEMBER 19 - The US will not let itself be drawn into Vladimir Putin's "war by choice" but there is the risk of global nuclear proliferation if Moscow were to prevail.
This is the warning launched by the head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin speaking in Canada at a forum on security.
"Putin's autocratic colleagues are watching and may conclude that getting nuclear weapons will give them a license to hunt of their own," he warned.
"And this - he concluded - could lead to a dangerous spiral of nuclear proliferation" (ANSA).
