The royal family has been in the headlines for the past few days, after the trailer for the docu-series about Harry and Meghan was published at the beginning of the month, the first part of which is expected to be released on Netflix tomorrow (Thursday).
Add to that the first visit of Princes William and Kate with their new titles overseas, when they spread glam and chic everywhere, and the reports that the prince plans to watch the series and respond to the claims of his brother and sister-in-law, and we got a real royal scandal here.
As is our custom at the sanctuary, beyond the reports and speculations, we always like to check what the royals wore, who are armed with stylists and an almost unlimited budget, and produce different and varied looks every time.
We will open with the most interesting couple of the past week, who are considered the unruly children of the royal house - Harry and Meghan.
The two attended a glittering ceremony in New York last night, to receive the "Robert Kennedy Human Rights Award", which is given to "extraordinary leaders".
In the reasons for receiving the award it is stated that it was given to them for their "standing against racism, and their work on mental health".

The two paid no attention to the commotion around them, but made sure to arrive in extremely elegant blocks.
Let's start with Prince Harry, who wore a standard navy blue suit, which he combined with a white button-down shirt, a blue tie, and black shoes.
And for the more interesting part.
The first thing that caught our attention in the look of the Duchess of Sussex, who chose to wear a white dress, was the suspicious resemblance to the dress Kate wore to an event last weekend in Boston.
Megan chose a white dress by designer Nicolas Ghesquière in an off-shoulder cut, with a cut at the waist that continued into thick pleats, with a slit in the front of the dress, which exposed her legs.

She combined a Givenchy black clutch bag that she has already used before, and Louis Vuitton black pointy heels.
The Duchess added a ring from the late Princess Diana, and long silver earrings.
She gathered her hair at the nape of her neck, and opted for subtle make-up.
The Duchess consistently chooses the color white, which is very flattering on her.
The cut also suits her body shape, and we really liked the total look, which made her look glamorous.

And we will move on to the "sworn rival", Princess Catherine (who is better known as Kate Middleton, we are still getting used to the new title, AG). King Charles, his wife Queen Camilla, and the Princes of Wales, attended a gala reception at Buckingham Palace last night for the diplomatic team. This is a festive event that takes place every year, and a month after a forced break due to the corona virus, when the previous ceremony took place in 2019.

The princess chose a red lace maxi dress by her favorite British designer, Jenny Packham, which was also embroidered with sparkling beads.
The modest dress consisted of a fitted top, with delicate fabric pleats that simulate a belt in the waist area, and a skirt that flared to a delicate virgin figure.
Befitting a formal reception, the Princess wore a royal blue sash, with a badge of the Victorian Order, and a small portrait of Queen Elizabeth as a youth, against a yellow bow tie.

She flaunted a historic tiara on her head, known as the Lotus Tiara, which she last wore in 2015.
It is a gift given to the late Queen Mother by her husband, George VI, on the occasion of their wedding in April 1923, and was originally designed as a necklace.
Later it underwent a change and was converted into a tiara, which Princess Margaret also wore on various occasions.
To complete the look, she added diamond earrings that belonged to Queen Elizabeth.
The princess looked regal and festive, but something about putting all the items together, especially her uncharacteristically smoothed hair, with an unsuccessful attempt to create volume at the front of the head, did not flatter her.
Middleton does shine in every look, but in this case we felt the choices were a little older, giving her an aunty look.

And we will move on to the queen-wife Camilla.
She surprised with flattering and up-to-date choices, and she also flaunted sparkling items from the royal jewelry treasure.
Camila wore a dress she had already worn before, by the couture designer Anna Valentine.
It is a black maxi dress, with a V-shaped bust, slightly puffy sleeves, and a play of textures that creates interest and flatters her figure.

The interesting item she chose to wear is a coat, which King Charles received as a gift from the Saudi designer Yahya Al-Bashir.
This is a long, dark blue embroidered coat.
To complete the look, the Queen Consort chose the Belgian sapphire tiara that belonged to Queen Elizabeth, along with a matching necklace and bracelet.
We loved the elegant yet refreshing choices, which were appropriate for this type of event, and aspired to Camilla.
