(ANSA) - NEW YORK, DECEMBER 23 - China estimates that around 250 million people, 18% of its population, contracted Covid in the first 20 days of December.
The Financial Times reports it, citing data provided during a closed-door meeting by Sun Yang, deputy director of the Chinese center for control and prevention.
The data are in marked contrast to the official data of the National Health Commission which, in the same period of time, spoke of 62,592 cases.
