Thousands of sardines were found stranded on a Finistère beach in Pentrez on Tuesday morning.
A massive stranding, the causes of which are currently unknown, reports Le Télégramme.
According to the local newspaper, this stranding may be a consequence of the storms which have followed one another for several days on the tip of Brittany.
Analyzes launched
Another track, a trawler which would have offloaded its cargo, but this option seems unlikely, notes Le Télégramme.
To see more clearly, analyzes must be carried out to try to understand what brought these thousands of sardines to the beach, reports France Bleu.
Sardines, but also horse mackerel and stinging jellyfish, specifies Ouest-France.
🐟 Several hundred kilos of sardines and horse mackerel were discovered along the beaches of Pentrez and Lestrevet, in Saint-Nic and Plomodiern, this Tuesday.
