An achievement for the local council of Binyamina Givat Ada in its fight for the future and quality of the settlement of Binyamina.

In the discussion held this week by the Committee for Principled Planning Issues (HOLNATA) - it was decided to allow the council to develop the area of the future track, adjacent to Route 4, as an area for mixed urban development intended for residential, employment and commerce.

As I recall, in the official master plan that was modified by HOLNATA in 2021, it was decided Cancel the industrial zone that was planned near the location of the future railway - on the grounds that there is no need for additional industrial zones in the area.

The local council, represented by attorney Ariel Fisher, from the Nahaliali firm, vigorously opposed this decision and claimed that this cancellation would damage the financial capabilities of the authority and the services provided to residents, and would turn it from an independent authority to a supported authority.

At the end of the objections process, in which the Council and other bodies participated, the National Council accepted the Council's position and approved economic development within the framework of mixed urban development, which includes commerce and employment in the entire area between the future railway tracks according to the plan of Subtal 65 and Highway 4 in the West of Binyamin.

1101 objections were submitted to the master plan

In addition, the demand of the council and the Chaim Association for Nahal Taninim to reduce the construction in the flood plain of Nahal Taninim, in the north of the settlement, was accepted and the construction plan was cancelled.

A bypass road in Nimina will be discussed for the decision of the National Transportation Authority as part of a national outline plan for transportation. Regarding the issue of the densities changed by the Authority - it was decided that the members of the committee will discuss it as part of the discussion of objections to the outline plan.

As mentioned, the fight for the color of the settlement in Nimina will continue in the coming months in the discussions on the master plan.

We would like to emphasize that the struggle led by the council against the outline plan involved residents, the Nahal Taninim association and other bodies, and 1101 objections were registered to the outline plan - quite a few compared to a small settlement like Binyamina.

Following this, the district committee appointed an investigator to examine the objections and submit his recommendation.

The head of the council, Itay Weisberg,

who led the fight with his professional team: "This is fateful news for the future of the council and its future economic capacity. Thanks to this decision, the council now has an economic horizon that will enable the provision of proper services to the residents. Another and important achievement is the recognition of the members of Holant "A in Nahal Taninim as a statutorily protected value and the reduction of construction to ease the flooding.

The struggle is not over yet and we are looking forward to ensure that Mosheva remains a colony and does not become another city in a space without distinction as the Mosheva has zealously maintained for a hundred years of its existence until today.

In addition, we will continue to fight the issue of increasing the building density in order to ensure that Neymina will remain a colony for the next 30 years as well."

The council's engineer, Yoav Melter:

"A significant achievement for the council, when the National Assembly recognized the need to develop areas in the area west of the future railroad tracks and actually recognize, even partially, the council's claims regarding this area.

We are happy about the openness and the substantive decision on this issue, along with the need to continue the fight on the other issues that were included in the council's opposition, including the issues that the council opposes in the outline plan."
