Border Guard detectives and Nature and Parks Authority inspectors located this evening (Wednesday) a lion cub that was being illegally kept in a hidden apartment in the south of the country.
An undercover investigation was opened at the central unit of the Southern Police after several videos documenting the lion cub were recently uploaded on social media. The cub, nicknamed "Abu Malek", was illegally held by several people, who are suspected of keeping him under their ownership and trading him.
