Revenue, Creed III flies to the top with over 3 million

Creed III, sequel to the 2018 film Creed II and ninth chapter in the Rocky Balboa saga (the first film without the boxer character), conquers the top of the Italian box office with over 3 million (3,242. (ANSA))


++ UPDATE AND REPLACE 1.46 PM SERVICE ++ (ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 06 - Creed III, sequel to the 2018 film Creed II and ninth chapter of the Rocky Balboa saga (the first film without the boxer character), conquers the top of the Italian box office with over 3 million (3,242,450) in collection in four days and leaving all the others behind.


   The Whale, a dramatic story that revolves around obesity and social stigma played by Brendan Fraser on the verge of an Oscar, is second with 631,000 euros (1.5 million in two weeks).

In third place is the cartoon Mummies - A walk in time, an amusing adventure between ancient Egypt and present-day London by Juan Jesus Garcia, with 510,000 euros (1.4 million in two weeks).


    Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania', the new Marvel Studios film at the top seven days ago and which exceeded 5.5 million in 3 weeks, stops at 454 thousand euros in collections, and ends up off the podium.

In fifth position is Through friendship, the comedy by Alessandro Siani which grossed 269 thousand euros over the weekend (for a total of over 2.7 million).


    Mixed by Erry, the Sydney Sibilia film that tells the story of Enrico Frattasio, king of pirated cassette tapes in the 1980s, enters sixth position, with 261 thousand euros, released 4 days ago.

In seventh place the new entry Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To The Swordsmith Village, new chapter of the saga based on the manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge (215 thousand euros).

Eighth position for Not so close (Aman called Otto) by Marc Forster with 209 thousand euros (1 million 256 thousand euros in three weeks).


    The top ten is rounded out by Sam Mendes' Empire of light (196 thousand euros) and the Spanish-Belgian thriller and social drama directed by Juan Diego Botto, Tutto in un giorno (88 thousand euros).


    The total at the Italian box office from 2 to 5 March, according to Cinetel data, is 6,852,618 (and not 6,381,080 euros as previously announced) up 20% compared to the previous weekend.
