A profoundly changed landscape
Les Flots Bleus have succeeded in reopening their campsite in early April, in time for the new summer season.
Major works were necessary to clear the area, as explained by the director of the campsite Franck Couderc to RTL.
“We had to evacuate nearly 5 tons of various waste.
The sand has been carefully filtered and sieved so that nothing remains under the ground.
Then we had to cut down 200 trees that had been badly damaged by the flames.
The landscape has changed profoundly here and we will have to get used to it.”
A landscape certainly different from that which served as the setting for the film, but news that delights Franck Dubosc:
“People are starting to come back to it, their faithful, their regulars are starting to come back.
With a campsite that is different all the same, with much less vegetation.
But so much the better, I knew that they were going to be reborn fairly quickly.
