(ANSA) - ROME, 06 APR - The spokesman of the Ukrainian president Sergiy Nikyforov has advised to take into account only the declarations of Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the prospects of the negotiations with Russia.
Nikyforov thus commented on the opening of the Financial Times which reported the words of the deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian president Andrii Sybiha according to which Kiev does not rule out the start of negotiations on the Crimea.
The Ukrainian media reported it.
"This matter should be guided by the words of the Ukrainian president and the commander-in-chief," Zelensky's spokesman said.
According to the English translation of Sybiha's words to the FT, Kiev would consider negotiations with Russia over Crimea when Ukrainian troops successfully reach the administrative border with the occupied peninsula.
Zelensky recently said in a joint briefing with the leaders of Moldova, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia that he would allow peace talks with the Russian leadership only if Russian troops voluntarily withdrew from all occupied territories.
