(ANSA) - OSLO, APRIL 13 - Norway announces the expulsion of fifteen "Russian intelligence agents" who worked at the Moscow embassy in Oslo.
"These 15 intelligence officials have been declared undesirable because their activities are not compatible with their diplomatic status," Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt said in a statement.
"This is an important measure to counter and reduce the scope of Russian espionage activities in Norway," she added.
The 15 Russians, who were in Norway under diplomatic cover, will leave the country "soon", the ministry said.
Contacted by AFP, the Russian embassy in Oslo has not yet reacted.
Norway's intelligence services routinely single out Russia and China as top espionage threats to the country.
