Millions of Germans traveled through the republic with the 9-euro ticket from June to August last year, traveled to Sylt over the weekend or used trains from Munich to the Allgäu.
Customers could buy the cheap ticket monthly.
The situation is different now with the successor to the cheap ticket, the 49-euro ticket or the Germany ticket.
49-euro ticket: With a trick, the tickets can also be bought individually
49 euros for a nationwide valid ticket for local transport is truly a tempting offer.
The ticket can be bought without any problems using the Deutsche Bahn (DB) app, the local public transport provider’s app or online on the Internet.
Customers automatically take out a subscription, making it something like an annual pass with monthly payment.
Individual purchases as with the 9-euro ticket are therefore not planned.
However, this modality can easily be circumvented with a trick.
49-euro ticket: Digital ticket with exceptions in individual cases
The subscription for the 49-euro ticket, which can also be used as a job ticket, is only available in the digital version.
However, there are exceptions until the end of 2023.

, there are some transport companies that also sell the ticket as a paper version to the bus driver, or the customers receive an email with a QR code.

Although customers must first conclude a contract with a transport company, they are given the option of being able to cancel the ticket on a monthly basis.
Consumers who only want to use the 49-euro ticket for one month - and also know which journeys are not permitted - can first buy the ticket and then cancel it again immediately.
The process can logically be repeated so that customers only buy the ticket for the months in which they really need it.
