But, at the center of the ceremony, also sport, cinema and, for the first time, music.
On 5 May from 5.30 pm the XIV Edition of the Guido Carli Prize will be held
, promoted by the foundation of the same name.
An evening as special as the anniversary it celebrates: the thirtieth anniversary of the death of the statesman, former Minister of the Treasury and former Governor of the Bank of Italy.
The setting will be the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
With a special final performance by
Roby Facchinetti
and Veronica Gentili to lead the show.

Nothing has aged: not his pragmatic and farsighted Europeanism, not his proposals on bureaucratic and legislative simplification, least of all his ability to combine intelligence and moral rigor, responsibility and attention to the new generations.
This is why we strongly wanted this year's edition of the Prize named after him to have a totally new look.
Starting with the space that will host it, the Opera House, a symbol of culture.
Music will therefore play a leading role.
The absolute protagonists will be the fifteen winners and their stories: no longer just economists and entrepreneurs, but women and men who, with their talent and genius, bring prestige to Italy in the world.

of Guido Carli was imprinted on the medals specially produced by the "Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.
Representatives of institutions, top managers and entrepreneurs, former awardees and many students will be present in the audience.

The Pope, Guido Carli's teaching makes us reflect on the value of fraternity
"On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Guido Carli, I hope that the teachings and examples of such an illustrious Italian economist and statesman, who distinguished himself in his commitment to the common good, may arouse reflections on the value of fraternity and initiatives of solidarity" .
Thus Pope Francis, in a letter addressed to Romana Liuzzo, president of the Guido Carli Foundation and nephew of the former Governor of the Bank of Italy and former Minister of the Treasury, who died on April 23, 1993.
"It is more necessary than ever - continues the letter of the Pontiff - to unite efforts in promoting the culture of peace at every level, becoming builders of hope to prepare a better future for the new generations. To my encouragement, I add the assurance of prayer for the your work and I gladly invoke the Blessing of the Lord".
The thirtieth anniversary of Carli's death will be celebrated on 5 May at 5.30 pm at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome on the occasion of the delivery of the Guido Carli Award to fifteen talents who bring prestige to Italy in the world.
