His sparkling, mischievous and alert eye will be missed. Pierre Colacicco, a figure for decades in the photo department of Le Figaro, has just breathed his last at nearly 90 years old. He had left the newspaper about twenty years ago, but returned regularly to remake the world, greet his friends and comment on the news with them, between noon and two. His potache spirit had not left him.

Never stingy with good words and his memory always awake, he recalled some of the highlights of his reports, anecdotes shared with colleagues on the greats of this world, grotesque scenes lived at the heart of a serious news. A photo of him shows him, for example, at the Élysée, a day of strike of photographers, at the time of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Of Italian origin, small in size - he worked with a stepladder on his shoulder - but tall in talent, Pierre loved to walk the fashion shows. In the company of Janie Samet, another beautiful signature of Le Figaro, he did not miss an appointment with Karl Lagerfeld, of whom he leaves several very beautiful shots, or Christian Dior.

Under no circumstances would he also have missed the Roland-Garros tournament. No need to ask him for anything else during the fortnight, he devoted himself entirely to the champions of the Porte d'Auteuil. The political world obviously had no secrets for him. Reporters appreciated his discretion behind the scenes of an interview.
The editorial staff of Le Figaro will not forget Pierre Colacicco and his laughing look. She extends her deepest condolences to her family, his wife, their two children and his grandchildren.
