Together with her partner, 23-year-old Touri Holmes lives in the US state of New Jersey. Shortly before the Corona pandemic broke out, they moved in together. "As we sat in our empty apartment, we felt like we were missing something," she told Newsweek. On the website of the "Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter" (BARCS), they finally discovered Rottweiler Blake and immediately fell in love with the dog. After a viewing appointment, it was clear: Blake would become part of the family.

With a lot of love and patience, Touri Holmes and her partner Tarik Johnson nursed the emaciated dog back to health. Since then, Blake has enriched the couple's lives many times over. And makes sure that my mistress always has something to do. Because the now three-year-old Rottweiler insists on his daily cuddles.
