The ruling to which Clarín agreed highlights the number of years that have elapsed between the fact denounced and the judicial investigation, and contradictions in the testimony of the actress.
For his part, Fernando Burlando, Darthés' lawyer in Argentina, confirmed his acquittal. "I talked to Juan, to the family. They sent the ID, although there is a duty of secrecy even until it is firm," he told Clarín.

The trial began on November 30, 2021, two years after Fardin filed the complaint for aggravated sexual abuse in December 2018 in Nicaragua, for facts allegedly accomplished in 2009 during a tour of the Argentine soap opera "Patito Feo", when both were part of the cast and she was 16 years old.
How was the process
Darthés testified in October last year for the first time in the framework of the trial that began in November 2021 and that had several interruptions caused by the actor's defense, which tried to postpone his statement and even annul the trial.
"This trial is important for the Public Ministry because it is an emblematic case that represents many other cases with the same characteristics, such as having serious rates of impunity, something that has to do with the lack of credibility to the victims, judicial biases, they are stigmatized, as if they are inventing," prosecutor Mariela Labozzetta had told Clarín at the time. at the head of UFEM.
"Thelma's is a late complaint, ten years later, something that is very common in this crime. But the judicial system has to have an answer to these cases, to look for strategies even if there is not much evidence. This was a process in which all the guarantees were fulfilled and a sentence will be reached, hopefully soon," he added. The actress filed a complaint for aggravated sexual abuse against Darthés in December 2018 in Nicaragua, for a fact of 2009 during a tour of "Patito Feo", when both were part of the cast and she was 16 years old and he was 45.
Since the start of the trial on November 30, 2021, there have already been five hearings for which 11 witnesses from both parties paraded. Darthés is still at large, but he cannot leave Brazil because he has an international arrest warrant.
The judicial process, in which three countries participate -Argentina, Brazil and Nicaragua-, was interrupted in February before a proposal from the defendant's defense. This decision was appealed by Fardin, who managed to get the Regional Court to order that the case continue to be processed in federal courts.
