Frequent thunderstorms and maximum temperatures below 30 degrees: the bridge of June 2 will be characterized by bad weather, but compared to last year the heat will not be unbearable. And, for those who do not particularly like high temperatures, the 'good' news is that thunderstorms could last at least until mid-June, while the great heat could arrive on June 21, with the beginning of summer. The forecasts are by Andrea Garbinato, editorial manager of iLMeteo.it, who recalls how in 2022 the bridge of June 2 already saw the first 40 degrees in Alghero, with 36 ° C also in Florence and Rome, and all the summer months were an unbearable oven.
A decidedly different picture from that of these days.
In particular today, explains Garbinato, "the most intense phenomena are expected in the afternoon, in particular on the Tyrrhenian side of the Center-South and on the Major Islands. The Republic Day will see very few variations on the theme, with a little cloudy morning and a crackling afternoon: thunderstorms are expected more or less on the same areas as today".
Something will change, unfortunately, over the weekend with the arrival of a disturbance: widespread rains are expected in the Center-North, locally even in the morning: it will therefore not be afternoon thunderstorms.

Thursday 1. In the north: sunny in the morning, afternoon thunderstorms in the Alps. In the center: first sunny everywhere, then many thunderstorms especially on Sardinia, Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. In the south: scattered thunderstorms.
Friday 2. In the north: afternoon thunderstorms on the Alps, Pre-Alps, Apennines, occasional even in the plains. In the middle: at first sunny everywhere, then widespread thunderstorm instability. In the south: afternoon thunderstorms.
Saturday 3. In the north: bad weather. In the middle: frequent downpours. South: sunny except for a few isolated showers.
Trend: in the following days we will still have opportunities for scattered rains and thunderstorms, especially after mid-day and in the Center-North.
