Danny Masterson, known from "The Wild Seventies" and "The Ranch", was found guilty of two counts of rape and may face up to 30 years in prison. It was the second hearing of the cases, after the first had ended as a mistrial.
The retrial of the rape trial against Danny Masterson ended in a guilty verdict in two of the three cases, as reported by Variety from Los Angeles. In the third case, the jury did not agree. For the convicted actor, the sentence could now mean 30 years behind bars.
The sexual assaults in question date back to 2000 and 2003. All three victims, like Masterson, were members of the Church of Scientology at the time, which is said to have covered up for its prominent member at the beginning of the investigation, which brought the sect into criticism and has since been charged with harassment and stalking.
