It was for her performance in "Breaking Bad" that Margolis was nominated for a 2012 Emmy Award. He later reprised the role of Hector Salamanca for five seasons of "Better Call Saul," a prequel series to "Breaking Bad." In addition to this series, Mark Margolis has also starred in "Sex and the City", "American Horror Story", "Gotham" or more recently "Your Honor" in 2023.

Broadway theater beginnings

His manager Robert Kolker paid tribute to him in a statement: "He was unique (...) He was a valued customer and lifelong friend. I was lucky to know him. "Absolutely devastated to hear that we have lost Mark Margolis. Mark was brilliant, funny, a storyteller with a million stories. Born in 1939 in Philadelphia, the actor had multiplied roles in Broadway theaters at the beginning of his career. But it was by Brian de Palma's "Scarface," in which he played the bodyguard Alberto, nicknamed "The Shadow." Mark Margolis, who has appeared in more than 70 films, has often appeared in front of director Darren Aronofsky's camera, including in "Requiem for a Dream" with Jared Leto or "Black Swan" with Natalie Portman.
