"The Italian government's estimates of GDP growth of 1.2% in 2024 are ambitious but feasible." This was stated by the director of the European department of the International Monetary Fund Alfred Kammer at a press conference at the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund commenting on the forecasts of Nadef.
Kammer recalled how the cut to estimates in the IMF's forecasts is "mechanically" due to the decline seen in GDP in the second quarter, underlining the effects of NGEU funds.
