Abertis wins four toll highways in Puerto Rico: the bid presented by the Spanish group of 2.85 billion dollars won "the largest highway privatization process ever carried out in Puerto Rico", which aims to increase the economic efficiency of the last remaining toll highways on the island, which account for more than 60% of traffic.
This was announced by Abertis and ACS, explaining that the new assets "add 192 km of highly strategic roads" that connect the most densely populated areas to the metropolitan area of San Juan, as well as to the south and east of the island. Shareholders will contribute resources of €1.3 billion to support the financing of the transaction, the group explains.
