These days, Hollywood's well-oiled PR machines are preparing the ground for its release on October 24, and we get a jaw-dropping detail.
It turns out that while the singer was dating singerJustin Timberlakefor three years, Spears became pregnant with the singer, who was then a member of the band Anne Sink. She said she actually wanted the baby: "I dreamed of building a family" and mostly wanted to build the same family with Timberlake.
On the other hand, Timberlake, who was just beginning his career, wasn't ready to be a father so early in life, and didn't want to take on all the responsibilities that come with being a parent. The singer revealed that he thought they were too young and she subsequently had an abortion: "It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy."

She continued: "I loved Justin so much, I always expected us to be a family one day. It was just so far too early than I expected. He said he wouldn't bring a baby into our lives, because we were too young. I'm sure people will hate me for it, but I agreed not to bring this baby.
I don't know if it was the right decision, but if it were up to me, I would have done it. But Justin wasn't sure he wanted to be a father," she wrote in an autobiography obtained by People.
Spears and Timberlake were in a relationship from 1999 to 2002, after which they each had children, but with other people. The singer had two sons with actressJessica Bale, and the singer had two sons with actorKevin Federline.
