That's how easy the chocolatey lava cakes are to prepare

  • While the oven preheats to 180 degrees top and bottom heat (alternatively 160 degrees convection), the chocolate is coarsely chopped. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and then remove from the heat. Add the chocolate to the butter and let it dissolve, stirring occasionally.
  • Swirl out your silicone muffin pans with cold water without drying them. (Alternatively, porcelain ramekins (Ø 7-8 cm) can also be used and greased with a little butter instead of being swung out with water.)
  • In the next step, beat the eggs with the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt in a larger mixing bowl until fluffy. Now add the melted butter and chocolate mix to the dough. Finally, stir in the flour. Pour the dough into the prepared ramekins. The cakes are baked in a preheated oven on the middle rack for exactly thirteen minutes.
  • Then take them out of the oven, carefully remove them from the ramekins and turn them out onto a plate. Serve warm from the oven and dusted with powdered sugar or cocoa. Enjoy your meal!
  • If you have more milk chocolate left over than dark chocolate, it's a good idea to reduce the sugar by about 20 grams. Sprinkled with a little powdered sugar, the chocolatey lava cakes can be served wonderfully with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit.
