"The sky is always bluer", as Rino Gaetano sang, for New Year's Eve on TV, produced by the Prime Time Entertainment Department: "The year to come", flooded for the first time from the beautiful Piazza Pitagora in Crotone and conducted for the ninth time by Amadeus, was in fact the most watched program of the last evening of 2023.
Almost 6 million viewers tuned in to Rai1, with a 40.0% share.
"Once again, the majority of the public has chosen Rai 1 to wait for the new year and say goodbye to the one that has just ended. 10 million, equal to a stratospheric 61% share, met at midnight on the flagship RAI network to toast with Amadeus, an extraordinary professional, a friendly face who reassures, enters homes on tiptoe, manages to speak to several generations, galvanizes the squares with his contagious enthusiasm - comments the director of the Prime Time Entertainment Department Marcello Ciannamea. It was a party that Rai, together with the Calabria Region, the FilmCommission Foundation of Calabria and the city of Crotone, wanted to dedicate to all families, with an evening of lightness and fun, full of beautiful music.
