The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has risen to 22,600. This was announced by the Hamas Ministry of Health.

More than 100 'terror targets' were hit yesterday in Gaza by ground forces, sea forces and aircraft of the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF). This was announced by the military spokesman. On the ground, operations are still concentrated in Khan Yunis (in the southern sector of the Gaza Strip) and in the nearby el-Bureij refugee camp. In particular, rocket launch pads that were aimed at Israel were destroyed. Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee, who speaks in Arabic, informed the population of that area that the Sallah a-Din artery (the main one in the Strip) remains closed to traffic because it is a combat zone. To get away from the danger, the inhabitants of the refugee camps in the central sector of the Strip - he added - can still reach Rafah, in the far south, via the coastal road.

The Israeli army announced today the completion of a complex operation conducted in the so-called 'Skyscraper District' in the central sector of the Gaza Strip. These are - explained the military spokesman - tall buildings from which they had control of the area. Inside, positions had been set up for the launch of anti-tank rockets and also for the launch of rockets towards Israeli territory. The entrances to part of the buildings had been blocked with explosive devices. In their vicinity there were also the entrances to military tunnels. To take control of the ''Rione dei Grattacieli'' the military was forced to fight for a long time - with the help of engineers and the air force - and thus eliminated ''numerous terrorists''.

Kibbutz Nir Oz announced today that it had learned that one of its members - Tamir Adar, 38 - had died and that his body was being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. From reliable intelligence information, the kibbutz was able to reconstruct that Adar was killed by Hamas as early as October 7 and that his remains were taken to the Gaza Strip. Nir Oz is one of the kibbutzim most affected in that attack: a quarter of its members have been killed or kidnapped. At the moment, according to Kan public radio, Hamas holds nine bodies of members of that collective settlement. A father of two and a farmer, Tamir Adar was the son of Yaffa Adar, the 85-year-old woman kidnapped by Hamas who was released after weeks of captivity. After her release, Yaffa Adar participated in numerous demonstrations in which family members of hostages tried to urge the government to reach a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.
