But the online retailer Galaxus has big plans and is significantly expanding its presence on the German market.
According to the retailer, around a million people have now purchased from Galaxus.

Online retailer Galaxus increases its sales by over 50 percent: competition for Amazon and Ebay

Sales at Amazon collapsed last year.
The online retailer Galaxus, on the other hand, managed to increase its sales by more than 50 percent, as the company announced in a press release.
“Despite shrinking retail sales across Europe and rising costs of living, we were able to grow significantly and gain market share in 2023,” says Florian Teuteberg, CEO of Digitec Galaxus, the parent company from Switzerland.
Successful growth was also recorded there.
New big player in German online trading?
Galaxus has a million customers
According to the report, around a million people will have shopped at Galaxus at least once in 2023.
The great growth is due, among other things, to the price level of the products on offer.
According to the company, many prices have been reduced over the past year.
Some customers might have tried to give joy with a voucher as a gift.
Despite the success, there is still plenty of room for improvement, after all Amazon has been on the German market for much longer.
Some experts even consider Amazon to be so powerful that the retailer could displace other providers.
And the market is also competitive from other providers.
There was also a massive change to Ebay classifieds last year.
