The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has announced the suspension of deliveries of vital food aid to northern Gaza until conditions in the war-torn Palestinian enclave allow for safe distributions.
In a note, the WFP denounces the assault on its trucks by the population.
“The decision to suspend deliveries to the northern Gaza Strip was not taken lightly, as we know that it means that the situation there will worsen further and that more people will risk dying of hunger,” the UN food agency said.
