A Pentagon spokesman estimated that the terrorist organization was seeking to cut off the Afghan capital and announced that 3,000 American troops would arrive in the city to help evacuate U.S. citizens. • Embassy workers instructed to burn documents

The Taliban's occupation boom in Afghanistan continues, with members of the extremist group occupying the capital of Vurdak province, Maidan Shahar, today (Saturday), an achievement that now places them at the gates of the capital Kabul.

Officials in the country reported to the Indian newspaper The Times of India that fighters from the Sunni extremist organization had been observed advancing in the southern suburbs of the capital.

Western media reported the arrival of large forces of the U.S. military in the capital, ahead of the imminent evacuation of the embassy compound and U.S. citizens from the city, in case it fell into the hands of the organization.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby estimated that Taliban fighters about 30 miles from the city center will now work to cut it off and isolate it, in preparation for a final offensive to overthrow President Ashraf Ghani.

Kirby announced that 3,000 troops would be sent to Kabul in the coming days to assist in the rescue of U.S. civilians, embassy staff and translators who had served in the United States military.

According to Kirby, some of the forces destined for aid in the evacuation are already in Kabul.

Media outlets in the United States reported that embassy staff had been instructed to burn documents.

Other reports from the state said that the terrorist organization is close to the occupation of the fourth largest city in the country, Mazar-i Sharif, the capital of the district in Leh, where nearly half a million people live. A huge influx of refugees making their way to the capital Kabul was also reported.

Yesterday, members of the organization managed to occupy the second largest city in the country, Kandahar, and another series of large cities, key intersections and military bases. According to state reports, the Taliban are using harvesters that fell to them while occupying Afghan army bases as well as artillery, tanks and other heavy weapons that fell prey to them.

Former United States President Donald Trump tweeted through his assistant on Twitter: "There is a tragic mess in Afghanistan, our border is open and completely broken, crime rates are sky high, oil prices are sky high, inflation is rising and the world is taking advantage of us at every opportunity. ? ".

Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nicki Haley also sharply criticized the Biden administration over its policies in Afghanistan, writing on social media Twitter: "What is happening in Afghanistan is shameful.

A small military presence could keep quiet.

We surrendered to the terrorists and gave up the Afghan people.

The world is more dangerous now. "

"Nobody cares about us"

But those who will pay the most severe price if the Taliban become the master of Afghanistan are the women of the country.

Under the Taliban's previous rule, girls were not allowed to enroll in schools, women were expelled from workplaces and required to be accompanied by a family member to leave the threshold of their pavilion.

Many women in the country are now shaken by the possibility that this situation will become their daily reality again.

In a video that went viral on the social network Twitter, an Afghan girl tells in tears about her anxiety for her future in a country under the control of the Taliban.

"We are not considered because we were born in Afghanistan. I can not help but cry. No one cares about us. We will die slowly over time," says the Afghan girl.

Pashtana Durani, a teacher and educator at a foreign charity in the city of Kandahar, told Reuters before the city fell to the Taliban that she feared the worst. "All my students have already run away. Now I have to fear for my life, after years of preaching about the education of women and their rights," says the educator.
