MDA reports about a 70-year-old man who was pulled unconscious from the water at Bat Galim beach in Haifa.
The call was received at 21:37.
MDA medics and paramedics pronounced him dead.
A senior medic at the MDA, Tzachi Azoulai, said: "The man was lying on the stones on the undeclared beach near the water line while he was unconscious.
Citizens told us they saw him in the sea and pulled him out.
We performed medical tests, but he was without signs of life and we had no choice but to determine his death."
