Everything happened at 9 that day, when a pedestrian dressed in black pants and orange jacket was circulating through the crossing of the level crossing of Cuzco Street.

The man was walking fast and looking at his phone. When he reached the tracks, he looked to his right without noticing that the train was approaching from the left side. As he turned, he swayed forward and the formation reached to graze his head. He lost his balance and ended up hitting the maze of the pedestrian crossing later.

Quickly, the medical assistance protocol for the victim who was attended by the SAME was activated. After the first healings, he was transferred to Santojanni hospital with multiple traumas and a cutting wound to the face and head.

Tragedy in General Las Heras

Two months ago, a Sarmiento train formation ran over and killed a young man in General Las Heras. The victim, who was 18 years old, was traveling as a companion of a woman in a van when a train formation rammed them at the Hornos level crossing.

The fatal incident occurred on March 19 in the town of General Hornos on a level crossing that connects Yapeyú and Manfredi streets. A Ford EcoSport truck tried to cross the tracks without realizing that the Sarmiento formation was coming. At the level crossing, there was no barrier.

At the time of the accident, the vehicle was traveling at a low speed. He tried to cross the level crossing and ended up rammed by a formation, which dragged him several meters.

After the strong impact with the train, Juan Cruz Agüero (18) died at the scene. Meanwhile, the woman who was driving was rushed to an area hospital.
