The IDF confirmed to the publication on Monday evening that two fighters of the Givati Patrol fell in battle with terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip. The soldiers killed were Staff Sergeant Roy Wolf, 20, from Ramat Gan, and Lavi Lapshitz, 20, from Modi'in-Maccabim-Reut. The two were hit by an anti-tank missile fired at a building where the force was staying.
The Mayor of Ramat Gan eulogized Staff Sergeant Roy Wolf, who remarked: "Today we were informed that Roy Wolf, Ramat Gani and a graduate of Blich High School fell in the war in Gaza. The city of Ramat Gan shares in the family's grief and will do everything possible to help in everything possible, to comfort and embrace in every way and to forever commemorate Roy and his memory."
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett also eulogized them: "The fall of Givati Patrol fighters Roy Wolf and Lavi Lifshitz is an unbearable loss. More families have become bereaved today. In an instant, their world collapsed, and there are no words that can comfort. Only this we will know: the fighters fell defending our beloved homeland.
