Recently they had stumbled, but in the derby against Penzberg the bowlers from FC Seeshaupt were back on the ball.

This brought them great success.

Seeshaupt - A league leader who was struggling recently, a pursuer soaring high and a derby on top of that: The tension before the district league duel between the host SKC Fortuna Penzberg and FC Seeshaupt was great.

The interest in the game was corresponding - numerous fans had come.

They saw a sovereign 6:2 victory (3275:3062 wood) from leader Seeshaupt.

With their 13th win of the season, the FC men secured the championship title prematurely.

The Penzbergers could have made the race for first place exciting again with a win;

they still have the chance to win the runner-up title.

FC Seeshaupt wins a top duel against Penzberg 6:2

It was a home game for both teams.

The duel took place in the sports home of FC Seeshaupt.

For the Penzbergers, the facility there has been their home since the Josef-Boos-Halle has been renovated.

Until this game, the Fortunes were undefeated “at home”.

But unlike their recent home appearances, they lagged behind in the wood numbers.

On the Seeshaupter side, on the other hand, all six players played at a remarkable level.

That set the tone of the game.

Pascal Schouten with the best performance of the day

In the starting pairings, Seeshaupt's Pascal Schouten showed why he is at the top of the league's individual standings.

With 579 wood he achieved a strong result.

His direct opponent, Aydin Coban (494) could not keep up.

Schouten was ahead in all sets.

In the other duel, Penzberg's Konrad Stremair (529 wood/3:1) narrowly beat Leonhard Werner (525).

In the fourth set, the Seeshaupter, who was in the lead, failed to hit the last standing cone two thrusts before the end.

Leonhard couldn't get any further, Stremair took advantage of that and got the team point.

In the middle pairings, Daniel Hey (546/3:1) only had problems against Markus Jung (520) in the third set.

There he lost by nine wood difference.

Overall, "his victory was not in jeopardy," according to a statement.

In the match between Eike Grabe (545/4:0) and Felix Kreher (502), the first set offered a lot of excitement.

After the Seeshaupter had narrowly won (132:130), he won the following rounds, some of them quite clearly.

Before the final pairings, the Seeshaupter led with 3:1 points and 150 wood - a comfortable lead.

In the final pairings, Penzberger was no longer able to build up pressure, even though Julian Kral (517/3:1) scored a team point against Thomas Lackinger (527).

In the second set, the Seeshaupter, like his teammate Leonhard before, missed a single cone in the penultimate thrust.

Kral won 128-127.

The Penzberger secured the third round with a three-wood lead – the team point was awarded.

In the fourth set, Lackinger came up trumps with a 155:132.

In the other duel, Seeshaupt's Alexander Wassermann (553/3:1) clearly won the first three sets against Thomas Huppenberger (500).

This match was already decided.

Huppenberger showed his skills in the last round with a 150:131 - but that no longer played a role in the result.
