The chicken coops in the north feel like ducks at a shooting range: "After they had already shot at me four times, fear left me"; Last night, a compensation outline for chicken coops was published

Hezbollah published the footage of the shooting at the chicken coops in Moshav Dubav/pursuant to Section 27A of the Copyright Law

This morning as well, Israel Sabagi woke up in his hotel room in Tiberias, to which he evacuated with his family and drove to his moshav, Moshav Dubav on Israel's border with Lebanon. "After what I've been through in the last three months, I don't have much fear left. I know that the terrorists are looking at me and that I have become marked with them, but after they have already fired at me four times, I feel that fear has left me. I know they decided to kill us, but they didn't decide when it would happen," he said in acceptance.

The support of Sabagi's family, the second generation of the founders of the moshav at the edge of the country, from their laying coops. According to him, the burden of loans he took and his debt to the bank does not allow him to stay in the evacuees' hotel and not come to work in the moshav. "My friends and I feel abandoned. The state has forgotten us."

"I can't afford to give up the chicken coop and not come here every day. They said there was a compensation scheme for poultry farmers. We couldn't understand what the outline meant and how to interpret it. It's clear to me that I have to keep coming to the chicken coop every day and make sure the chickens have food and water, and then collect the eggs."

Sabagi adds, "I expect the state to help us with fuel expenses – every day I travel from Tiberias to Dubav and back, that's another NIS 3,000 a month, an additional expense that was added. We are like an alert squad, an alert squad of poultry farmers who are concerned about the food security of the State of Israel. It's time for them to understand this and help us," he said.

Three chicken coops have already been completely destroyed by Hezbollah fire. Yoram, one of the owners of the destroyed chicken coops, was left without a source of income. "I'm sitting in a hotel all day now going crazy. Don't know what to do with myself. I haven't received a compensation of one shekel yet. After the first injury, I still invested 30,<> shekels in the renovation, and then came the damage that destroyed the chicken coop. I am helpless. I recommend to my friends whose chicken coops still exist not to go there anymore.

"The terrorists have no law and no judge, they fire at everything that moves. They determined the reality of life in the north. Whoever doesn't want his children to remain orphans shouldn't go there anymore."

Injuries to chicken coops. A compensation outline has been published, but the chicken farmers find it difficult to understand/official website, none

Yesterday, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tax Authority published a designated compensation outline for chicken coops, but it is complicated and they have difficulty understanding it. The chicken coops who continue to come to the site and care for the animals are offered compensation of only NIS 4,000 to NIS 8,000 per chicken coop, depending on its size.

Chicken coops located in frontier communities, 0-9 km from the northern border or 0-4 km from the southern border, can apply for compensation through a fast track or a regular "red" route, depending on the type of damage. This is subject to the submission of forms and bureaucracy, and does not guarantee full compensation.

The chicken coops that were closed will receive compensation of 11 cents per egg (which would have been imposed if the chicken coop was still active), with the plan approved until the end of March at this stage.

Chicken coops who are entitled to receive a subsidy according to the Galilee Law, but currently do not produce, will be entitled to compensation for not receiving the subsidy, in the amount of 6.36 agorot per egg (according to the subsidy rate). This compensation will be considered part of the subsidy to which the grower is entitled, so that no double payment will be made.
