Having fallen to its floor level of 0.5% in February 2020, the rate of the Livret A and LDDS has increased to reach 3% since February 2023 (frozen at this rate a priori until 2025).
And the French have never “liked” these tax-free booklets so much.
The total outstanding balance of these tax-exempt Livret A books and Sustainable and Solidarity Development Booklets (LDDS) stood at 564.9 billion euros as of December 31, 2023, compared to 509.7 billion a year earlier (+ 10.8%).
Up by more than 55 billion last year, a record since the ceilings were raised in 2012.
