The Government ordered an increase in the amounts of the Alimentar Card for February,

which doubles the amounts if the December 2023 values ​​are taken.

This is clear from resolution 11/2024 published this Thursday in the Official Gazette and signed by the Ministry of Human Capital.

In this way, starting next month,

families in vulnerable situations will receive $44,000, $69,000 or $91,000 depending on the number of children.

In December those amounts were $22,000, $34,500, and $45,500, respectively.

This is the second increase given by Javier Milei's administration on this benefit.

In January, the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo

had already confirmed a 50% increase

for the Alimentar Card.

With this increase, the values ​​in the first month of the year had been like this:

  • Families with one child: $33,000.

  • Families with two children: $51,750.

  • Families with three children: $68,250

Alimentar Card: How are the new values?

Families with two children from 0 to 14 years old who receive Universal Allowance for Children, Universal Allowance for Children with Disabilities or Pension for mothers of 7 or more children, will go from receiving 34,500 pesos to $69 thousand.

While families with three or more children from 0 to 14 years of age who receive Universal Allowance for Children, Universal Allowance for Children with Disabilities or Pension for mothers of 7 or more children will go from receiving 45,500 pesos to 91 thousand pesos.

The aforementioned increase is intended to rebuild the purchasing power of the aforementioned sectors

What is the Alimentar Card?

The Alimentar Card is a policy derived from the national plan “Argentina against hunger”, created in 2021 and with the purpose of guaranteeing access for the most vulnerable sectors of the population to the products that make up the basic food basket.

Alimentar Card: Who is the program aimed at?

To mothers or fathers with sons and daughters up to 14 years of age

(inclusive) who receive the AUH.

Also pregnant women from 3 months onwards who receive the pregnancy allowance, and people with disabilities who receive the AUH.

Mothers with 7 or more children who receive Non-Contributory Pensions.
