This Sunday, February 25, in the columns of
La Tribune
, Olivia Ruiz made rare and intimate confidences.
In promotion for the release of her new album
La Réplique
, the 44-year-old singer was questioned about the place of men and women in the world of the music industry.
And took the opportunity to recount a traumatic episode that occurred 10 years ago, when she was the victim of chemical submission by one of her collaborators.
“A person in my professional circle turned out to be someone who attempted sexual assault and a lot of things suggest that it was with the use of chemistry,” she said.

“Things are still quite unclear, but I know that there was no sexual assault,” she continued.
I was sleeping, I woke up and I took it out straight away.
I was lucky not to be stunned enough, and to be able to defend myself.”
As reported by

, Olivia Ruiz reportedly experienced a similar attack years before, this time attacked by a conductor with whom she worked.
Alert on the subject
“I think we really need to raise awareness on this subject (

).
By informing we can raise awareness of the need for vigilance, and therefore possibly avoid additional cases,” she declared.
To support her point, Olivia Ruiz returned to “this MP story”, explaining that the phenomenon is now “part of the hot news”.
The musician here refers to senator Joël Guerriau: last November, Sandrine Josso, MoDem deputy for Loire-Atlantique, revealed that she had been the victim of chemical submission by the latter, when he had invited her to his home to celebrate his re-election.
If Olivia Ruiz said she was lucky, she also added that macho remarks were an integral part of the job.
During her participation in the first edition of the Star Academy, on TF1, she had to ignore many comments.
“Otherwise, I remember this prime time during my participation in Star Ac, the pressure I was subjected to for me to wear a rather suggestive outfit… The ambient machismo still exists,” she concluded.
