(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 13 - Google makes interpretelinguistic a smartphone. The company has announced the availability on the phones of its "interpreter mode", which allows you to ask the voice assistant to translate phrases in other languages quickly, so as to allow a face-to-face interaction between two people who speak different languages.
The translator mode, launched last February on Google's loudspeakers and smart screens, is now based on worldwide distribution on Android smartphones and iPhones. Designed to help those who find themselves in foreign countries, it allows Google's voice assistant to translate and speak in 44 languages, including Italian.
To use the new mode, just send a voice command to Google Assistant, for example "You must be my French interpreter", "Help me speak Spanish", "Translate dalpolacco to the Dutch" or more simply "Chinese interpreter".
In this way the function is activated and translates the sentences pronounced by users in real time, from one language to another.
