Negligence or intent? A two-month-old baby has been found in a house entrance in Munich. Now the police are checking the background.

On New Year's Day, an infant was found in a house entrance in Munich. Now the police are investigating the child's father. The investigators had quickly found the parents.

Accordingly, it is a 28-year-old man and his 31-year-old wife. The girl's father was found on the scene, the police said.

The couple had previously been seen in the neighborhood several times and presumably lives nearby. Where the woman was on New Year's Day is still unclear. According to the police, it is checked whether the baby was intentionally abandoned or neglected.

A couple who was nearby had noticed the girl's screaming. Passersby searched for the child and found the two-month-old baby wrapped in a fleece blanket in a baby seat just after 2 p.m.

The man brought the baby into his car and started the heater while waiting for the pediatrician. The child is now doing so well, the police said. As a precaution, it was taken to a hospital for observation.
