The meteorological organization evokes an "episode of very strong waves requiring special vigilance", while the storm Brendan should sweep the Atlantic coast this Monday at the end of the day as well as during the night.
Sea level rise
"The strong southwesterly wind associated generates very strong waves as well as a significant rise in sea level on the coast", specifies Météo France, which adds that "the combination of high sea levels and strong waves risks 'generate submersions on low or vulnerable parts of the department placed in orange vigilance', especially during high tides.
The departments of Côtes-d'Armor, Vendée, Charente-Maritime, Gironde, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques are also placed in yellow alert.
