The moderators tell infantile jokes, the judges' table becomes the chair game, the old veteran singers disappoint, and our bet on the TV winner

Another round of impeachment came to an end with an expected farewell to Doral Saadon, and the tension can be felt. In less than ten days, ten of the contestants will remain four, the "next star of the Eurovision's" quartet, and one contestant will be selected to represent Israel in the Netherlands. We already have a bet (shown below).

Relax

But before that, let's talk about a topic we've never discussed in TV criticism in the past - Assi Ezer's guide and Rotem Sela. The audience is divided into two - those who are sick of their nonsense and those who just want to shut up. I personally belong to the first group and think it's a fun, refreshing and funny style. In addition, these two received a gift - each other. They are good friends and the fact that they have a significant dynamic outside the frame allows them to be released together on screen.

But in the last season, there is a sense that Assi and Ruth's passages, unjustifiably, take up more and more volume in the show. They both let the monkey loose themselves too easily, and for some reason no editing hand stops them. For example, this week they performed a completely unnecessary piece with Haim Etgar, the moderator of "Out of the Righteous," declaring that they suspected the judges were not righteous and that they should be put to task - such as smearing Rotem's teeth in ruby, and seeing which of the judges would draw her attention.

It's the creepy and funny kind of infantile that can be found in the YouTube challenges of 14-year-olds. It's worth noting Lassie and Ruth to remember that they're not comedians and their inventive abilities are ultimately limited. Their strength lies in the witty and impromptu punches they shoot on the cover of financing songs or on Gaia Shaki's brother's reactions. When they start inventing, there is nothing - something about their magic is lost.

Ready for Eurovision

So let's get started - as Rotem says - and get to know our judges tonight (yes, it turns out that a judges' table is not a stable thing in this life): Harel Skaat and Miri Masika (second time) take the place of Itai Levy and Keren Peles, in the evening's program In general, she was behind the scenes with Nicki Goldstein and Idan Reichel - whose last two programs were dedicated to his songs. Confused? So are we, but that is how they say goodbye to the Eurovision scene.

The one who started the round is Eden Elena, who performed "Sad Roses". The bouncy girl we knew at the beginning of the season seemed to have disappeared in favor of a grown-up girl submitting a touching song, and when she spoke Amharic she could also feel the real excitement in her voice. Eden continues her development of the show and alongside her powerful voice and dancing abilities, she repeatedly reveals an emotional and deeper layer, which continues to smooth her all the way to the final.

The golden boy of the program Or Amrami Brookman, performed "And If You Come" and his list of superlatives, we can now add the most mesmerizing voice in the competition. It wasn't his strongest performance yet, and still - because of the charisma, the great voice that can also be broken when needed, the movement of the hands and the dramatic gestures - Light should be the winner of the competition. And we're not even starting to talk about his life story (well, an adopted son of two proud fathers), which will excite the foundation of Eurovision viewers.

The little one is big on them

Ohad Shragai's staging abilities once again came to fruition as he sang "All Love" in a quiet manner that managed to touch, but the confusion and pausing in the middle of the song did not add points of empathy. The truth? It is surprising that such a thing happens to an experienced singer like him.

Louis Ali, the cutest contestant on the show (I am trying to soften up here), performed the "scraps of life" and chose to do both in Hebrew and Arabic, emphasizing what was said and highlighting the mistakes. He did not conceive the name of the song "Scraps of life" and other lines were shredded ("start to tidy up" instead of "start to get along"). The mistakes gave the feeling that they simply did not work with him on the section enough, and the fact that there was no translation into sections in Arabic added sin to crime. We haven't all expanded Arabic in high school, you know.

At the end of Thursday's program, Lally Kulshin performed "If You See." This is the youngest of the contestants, but it sounds like one of the most challengers on stage. Lely coped with this simple song, carried its emotional weight, and even improved its previous performance.

Before it is over

The evening program was opened by Raviv Kinnar for "Deep Depths," and it would not be exaggerated to say that the guy bought his world in this performance. His powerful and penetrating voice met the right song for him and the result for moments felt like prayer. He is not the greatest singer of the competition, but it is In a significant leap for him, a compliment also comes for the rocky rendering that this soft and pleasant song originally received.

Immediately afterwards, Eden Zohar chose to perform "La eternidad que se perdió" (yes, this is a Reichel song, it turns out), and in this context we must talk about selecting the songs. The song, whose lyrics in Spanish, managed to arouse curiosity at first because everything sounds foreign and exotic, but after a few seconds we realized that we didn't understand anything and that the performance, cool and bitter as it may be, didn't really cover it. Was she having fun performing the song? It seems so. Did it serve her progress in the program? probably not.
Before it is over

Know that you have nothing new to write, so you are just radicalizing what you wrote in the past? Well, Moran Aharoni performed "Such Love" and reminded us again that she is a scary singer. This is a memorable performance, which not only does not shame the origin of Zehava Ben, but also takes the song to an original and different place, and stands on its own.

After her came up Gaya Shaki who performed "Maybe This Time". Admittedly, it's not her best performance and still - amidst the plethora of contestants and the over-the-top superlative competition - the compliments she receives are truly justified.

Ella Lee-Lahav performed "Waiting," which was in fact her first song in Hebrew, and in some ways that's what it sounds like. Even if we ignore minor diction problems, the performance sounds unmistakably vocal, and even the grand finale failed to make up for it.

The last contestant was Doral Saadon, a singer with a charming and touching voice, but one who didn't stand out enough in the competition. Symbolically, he performed "Before It Finished," before finishing his match. Last night he was confused by the lyrics, and a few weeks ago he also stopped in mid-performance because he forgot the lyrics, critical matters when it comes to a program that sends its winner to the world's biggest stage. However, it is important to say that it was a successful and exciting performance that greatly suited the song's dimensions, So at least it ended nicely.
