Vito Cozzoli, head of the Mise's cabinet, is the new president and CEO of Sport and Health. This was announced by the Minister of Sport and Youth Policies Vincenzo Spadafora.
"After a false start of this structure - the minister explained - I expect balance to put together all the pieces of a complex world that I am getting to know very well. Cozzoli - added Spadafora - will receive this address of great attention especially to the world social and grassroots sport for all, as well as dealing with the high level sport that Italy must be very proud of. At political level, for her appointment, there was a natural dialectic, as for every appointment "All quiet. A general manager? The statute must first be changed - he concluded - and at the moment it is absolutely not on the agenda".
At the Ministry of Economic Development, previously led by Luigi Di Maio and today by Stefano Patuanelli, Cozzoli managed, among other things, the complex files of Ilva and Alitalia. He then held the sporting roles of member of the organizing committee of the Ryder Cup 2022 of golf and chairman of the second-level commission of the Uefa Licenses of the FIGC.
