A new chapter opens in Rome in the history of equestrian events: from 13 to 16 February Cavalli returns to Rome with a completely renewed edition organized for the first time by Veronafiere.

Four days with a calendar of events able to bring together all the different areas related to the world of the horse, with initiatives designed for an audience of enthusiasts, sportsmen, breeders, equiturists and professionals. And in the first place, always attention to animal welfare. A new format, born thanks to the agreement between Fiera di Roma and Veronafiere, united to enhance and promote the culture of the horse also in the center-south of the country. Behind the scenes of Cavalli in Rome 2020 there is all the experience of the Verona Fair which since 1898 has been building in its Fieracavalli district, the reference fair for the sector at national level (Verona, 5-8 November 2020).

Horses in Rome, in the exhibition center of the capital, offers visitors reviews of Italian and foreign breeds, performances of local equestrian traditions, recreational and educational activities for children and teenagers, evening shows and high-level sports competitions. The event, in fact, kicks off the annual show jumping calendar and all national equestrian events. Veronafiere, with the aim of promoting an ethical approach to the world of horses, as well as guaranteeing the presence of a veterinary commission to monitor the state of animal health during the event, also proposes in Rome the concept already tested at Fieracavalli of Horse Friendly Arena. Inside pavilion 7 the "horse tellers" teach to interpret the language of the horse, showing the techniques of the different non-coercive training schools with practical demonstrations.

American riding disciplines are also represented, with two special events of Barrel racing and Gimkana western, in collaboration with Fitetrec-Ante. Fun and folklore challenges also make their debut such as the masked relay and the Donkey race, where the riders are riding unusual race companions: the donkeys. Thanks to their mild and sociable character, donkeys are also among the protagonists of pavilion 8 where, in collaboration with the Asini donkey of Reggio Emilia, initiatives are proposed for the little ones: from CoccolAsino - tactile and relationship path to know this animal close up - at the AsinoBus, a cheerful caravan that, with expert guides, accompanies the children through the pavilions of the fair. Activities from 4 to 12 years also in Hall 5 with the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation of Lazio and Pony City engaged in an educational project in preparation for the "baptism of the saddle". Alongside the educational proposals there is room for the tradition that has always animated the equestrian world: between pavilion 5 and 7, with the collaboration of Unom-National Union of Farrier operators, the art of shoeing horses is staged with the national forging competition, while pavilion 8 tells the story of the cowboys of the Lazio Maremma. The Maremma breed is only one of the thirty that can be found in Cavalli in Rome: among the pavilions the public can admire the best specimens of Arab, American, Iberian, Friesian, Murgese and Tolfetan horses, discovering and appreciating their characteristics and peculiarities. And for those who love equestrian art, the appointment is from 18 to 20 in Hall 7 with Cavalli in Arena Casting, the new competition dedicated to emerging talents in the show and theater in the saddle.
