The platform entrusted the production of this film on DSK to Jalil Lespert, via the production company Capa.

Netflix wants to expand its offer of French documentaries. As “La Lettre A” revealed - and as the platform confirmed to us - the platform commissioned a film on Dominique Strauss-Kahn from the production company Capa. This documentary will be directed by actor and director Jalil Lespert, 43, who will make his debut in the genre here, after having signed several fiction feature films like "Yves Saint Laurent", "Iris" and, quite recently, " Le Dindon ”with Dany Boon and Guillaume Gallienne.

For now, the former boss of the International Monetary Fund has not agreed to be interviewed in this film, which we do not yet know if it will be a single or a series. This report, which should go into production very soon, could be broadcast by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2021. It will therefore join in the Netflix catalog the documentaries being produced on the singer Maître Gims and on the footballer Nicolas Anelka. Recently, we learned that the American platform was also working on a portrait of Neymar, but this would be an international production and not French.

So far, Netflix has offered its subscribers only two French documentaries: "Grégory" and "November 13: Fluctuat Nec Mergitur". Available since November 20, “Grégory” is an ambitious and particularly successful documentary series in five episodes signed Gilles Marchand, thanks to numerous archive images, including some unpublished ones, on the death of Grégory Villemin. Unveiled in June 2018, "November 13: Fluctuat Nec Mergitur" is a shock documentary in three parts about the attacks of November 13, 2015, directed by Jules and Gédéon Naudet.
