(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, FEBRUARY 6 - Thousands of demonstrators have filled Tahrir Square in Baghdad and the surrounding areas today, the scene of massive popular-government protests since October, in solidarity with the demonstrators of the cities of the south of the country that fell victim to the repression of the Shiite military yesterday pro-Iranian. The TV in Sumariya today showed images of the thousands of people, mostly students from schools and universities, who flocked to the center of Baghdad to continue the sit-in diprotesta underway since 1 October. Yesterday in Najaf, a southern sanctuary city, 7 demonstrators were killed by unspecified armed men. The fontilocali attribute the shooting to pro-Iranian militiamen.
