(ANSA) - SPOLETO (PERUGIA), FEBRUARY 13 - The Gup of Spoleto had ordered the indictment, before the Court of Spoleto, of eight people accused of the crime of culpable disaster regarding the partial collapse, resulting from the earthquake of 30 October 2016, of the multipurpose room of the former municipal operating center (Coc) of Norcia, a building also used for the purpose of civil protection and hospitalization of the population.
Following complex technical investigations carried out in the form of the evidentiary accident, the accused were criticized for having omitted the necessary checks on the quality of the design and execution and for falsely certifying the conformity of the concrete with the design forecasts during the testing. The first hearing will be held on November 19, 2020.
