Less than a week after escorting the Israelis from the Corona ship to the plane that returned them to Israel, the two were isolated in Tokyo to make sure they did not contract the virus
First publication: Senior Israeli diplomats in Japan are in solitary confinement after escorting the group of Israelis who disembarked from the Corona ship and boarded a plane that returned them to Israel. The 11 Israeli passengers who returned to Israel received negative results that they do not carry the virus, which is why diplomats were apparently allowed to accompany them.
However, after it became clear that two of the Israelis who were on the ship had been diagnosed with the virus, the senior diplomats and other local workers who were with them for isolation were brought in. It is not yet clear whether anyone on a delegation on behalf of the Israeli embassy in Japan has contracted Corona, but in order to avoid such a case, it has been decided that they will be placed in solitary confinement in Tokyo.
At the same time, as first published today on Israel Today, Rachel Biton, one of four Israelis infected with the virus, was released from the Japanese hospital. The other three Israelis still carry the virus and are hospitalized in Japan, but their general condition is well defined.
