One month after the start of confinement, France records at least 18,681 deaths linked to the coronavirus. This Friday, the Directorate General of Health mourned the deaths of 418 new people in hospitals.
In social and medico-social establishments such as nursing homes, 343 deaths have also been recorded. The balance sheet therefore increased with 761 additional deaths counted in the last 24 hours.
In total, since March 1, 11,478 people have died in a hospital establishment and 7203 in social and medico-social centers.
New drop in intensive care
For the ninth consecutive day, the number of severe cases currently in intensive care is down (-221) but remains at a very high level (6027 patients in total).
The French authorities also count 31,190 hospitalized patients. For the third day in a row, there is therefore a drop in the number of staff currently cared for in hospitals (-115).
